Kicking Off the 2025–26 E! Terrell Entertainment Series in Style

Last night was the official opening of the 2025–26 E! Terrell Entertainment Series, and let me tell you, what a way to kick things off. Jared Freiburg and his band took the stage and transported the audience straight back to the heart of the 1950s rock n’ roll era. From the moment they struck the first note, the energy in the Jamie Foxx Performing Arts Center was alive and buzzing.

Jared’s talent is undeniable. Having played Jerry Lee Lewis on stages around the world, he knows how to capture that wild, untamed spirit of early rock n’ roll. But this wasn’t just a performance. It was a celebration of an era, of icons like Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Chuck Berry, and of course, Jerry Lee Lewis himself. The audience was swept up in it, clapping, tapping their feet, and in some cases, even dancing in their seats.

For me, it was another night of doing what I love, working backstage. There’s something special about being behind the curtain, watching the show unfold from a different perspective. I’ve been a part of this organization for more than ten years, and every season opener reminds me why I’m still here. The passion, the music, the joy it brings to the community. It never gets old.

And the best part? This was just the beginning. The next show in the series is coming up on October 16th, when we welcome The Waddington Brothers to the stage. It promises to be another fun, energetic night, and I can’t wait to see what they bring.

So if you weren’t there last night, don’t miss the next one. Trust me, this season is already shaping up to be unforgettable.
