Today was one of those unforgettable moments that fills your heart and reminds you of the joy in connecting with others. I had the honor of speaking at the Noon Greenville Kiwanis Club, and let me tell you—it was truly a blast!
This was my first-ever experience speaking for a Kiwanis Club, and what a fantastic group to have as my introduction. From the moment I arrived, the energy in the room was vibrant, welcoming, and filled with a genuine desire to listen, learn, and laugh together. They didn’t just sit back—they engaged, they responded, and they asked some of the most thoughtful and unique questions I’ve ever been asked in a public speaking setting.
The meeting was hosted at the charming Oaks Country Club in Greenville, a location that’s both elegant and cozy. And let me pause here to say—lunch was amazing. We enjoyed grilled chicken, creamy mashed potatoes, and crisp green beans that truly hit the comfort food sweet spot. It was the kind of meal that adds warmth to an already warm occasion.

What made today even more special were the unexpected reunions. I ran into a couple of wonderful people I hadn’t seen in many years—since before I got sick, actually. That alone would have made today meaningful. One of those beautiful souls was Roxanne Turner, who is still shining as bright as ever with her warm smile and uplifting presence. Seeing her again brought back memories and gratitude in ways I can’t quite express.

I walked away from the Kiwanis meeting feeling energized, inspired, and incredibly thankful. There’s something so powerful about people coming together to exchange ideas, share stories, and celebrate each other’s journeys.
To everyone at the Noon Greenville Kiwanis Club—thank you for having me, for your kindness, and for the fun, insightful conversation. Today was a day I will absolutely remember, and I hope it’s the first of many opportunities to connect with passionate, community-driven leaders like you.
Until next time!
