Yesterday I finally made it back to one of Akins Insurance’s monthly networking events, and it felt so good. This group meets in Terrell once a month and it has always been one of my favorites. The atmosphere is relaxed, the people are welcoming, and the group keeps growing which makes it even better.
It had been months since I was able to attend. Partly because of my work schedule and partly because I took that little break from networking. Walking back into that room reminded me how much I’ve missed it. There is just something about catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones that fills you with energy and excitement.
A big thank you to Lillie’s Event Center for opening the doors and letting us gather in such a beautiful space. The setting was perfect for good conversations and lots of laughter.
It was also a joy to share more about Wichmann & Co and the vision we are building. Talking about it online is one thing but telling people face to face and seeing their reactions is on a whole different level. It makes the vision come alive.
I left the event feeling encouraged, inspired, and grateful to be part of a community like this. I hope to be back again soon.
