Gratitude, BBQ & Great Connections in Wills Point

Today was an incredibly meaningful experience — and one I’m truly grateful for.

I had the honor of speaking at the Wills Point Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Luncheon, and it was a pleasure to share thoughts on the value of networking and community building. A heartfelt thank you to Susie Hagler, manager at Hickory Roots BBQ, for sponsoring the event and for inviting me to be part of it!

While it was a simple and laid-back networking luncheon, the atmosphere was warm, the conversations were engaging, and the BBQ was absolutely delicious. Hickory Roots brought the flavor, and the connections made over lunch were just as rich. 😋

In a world that’s moving fast, pausing to genuinely connect with others is more valuable than ever. Speaking on the topic of networking gave me the chance to reflect on how we build relationships that support not just our businesses — but also our growth, purpose, and community.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was receiving a shoutout for the Wills Point Community Market happening this Saturday — an amazing opportunity to support local businesses, farmers, and artisans. If you haven’t marked your calendar yet, now’s the time! 🛍️🌽

I was also excited to hear about Wichmann & Co’s upcoming networking events in August. These events are perfect for anyone looking to connect, learn, and build meaningful relationships within our local business ecosystem. 🗓️✨

To everyone who attended — thank you for your time, your stories, and your support. And to the Chamber and Susie: thank you for the opportunity to be part of something that keeps our community strong.

Here’s to more conversations, more collaboration, and (hopefully) more BBQ! 🧡

A huge thank you to Lea at the Wills Point Chamber for taking pictures of me speaking!!!
