Hi, I’m Cecilia Wichmann – entrepreneur, speaker, tea-slinger, and a woman who has (literally) come back to life with a story to tell.
I was born in the colorful chaos of Miami, Florida, but my roots grew deep in Sweden, where I learned how to handle snow like a pro and pronounce IKEA correctly. My grandmother, a glamorous opera singer, introduced me to the magic of the stage and helped me find my voice—long before I ever stood behind a microphone as a public speaker. Thanks to her, I was hitting high notes and high heels by the time most kids were learning the recorder.
After high school, I took the scenic route—quite literally—to Switzerland and spent a transformative year at the Leysin American School. Shortly after, at the tender age of 19, I dove headfirst into entrepreneurship with my first company in the equestrian industry. Spoiler alert: I’ve been in love with business (and horses) ever since.
In 2008, I traded snow boots for cowboy boots and made Texas my home. Since then, my professional life has been a wild ride—from law enforcement to emergency medical services to the fast-paced world of news media. I’ve worn many hats (and probably still have them in my closet).
Today, I’m the proud founder of Harlequin Tea and Harlequin International, where I blend creativity with strategy to plan unforgettable events, build powerful brands, and connect incredible people.
But my true passion? Public speaking. Whether I’m on a stage or in a boardroom, I thrive when I get to share stories, spark inspiration, and teach people how to network, build their brand, or bounce back from the impossible (like surviving cardiac arrest!). I’ve been told I could make a PowerPoint presentation about paint drying sound riveting—and I take that as the highest compliment.
So if you’re looking for a speaker who’s been around the world, lived a dozen lives, and still has the energy of a double espresso… you’ve just found her.
