The Eatery By Liza: My New Go-To Spot

Sometimes you stumble upon something so good, you can’t help but shout it from the rooftops—or, in my case, share it in a blog post. Yesterday, I visited The Eatery By Liza, a bright blue food truck parked right next to Dairy Queen on HWY 80 in Wills Point. If you’ve driven past it recently, you’ve probably noticed it. It’s been there for about a month now, and let me just say, I’m kicking myself for not stopping sooner!

First, let’s talk about Liza herself. I’m lucky enough to know her as a gold sponsor of the Wills Point Community Market, and I already knew she was awesome. But meeting her in her own element? She’s even more amazing. She greeted me like an old friend and had me laughing before I even placed my order. Her energy is contagious, and you can tell she pours her heart into her food.

Now, about the food—because WOW. I went for the Philly Cheesesteak with fries, and it was, hands down, one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Every bite was bursting with flavor, the steak perfectly seasoned, the cheese gooey and delicious, and the fries? Crispy perfection. It was a massive portion too—I was stuffed by the end of it, but every single bite was worth it.

One of my favorite things about eating out is trying dishes I wouldn’t—or couldn’t—make at home. Cooking isn’t really my thing, which means my options are pretty wide open. But even if I did love to cook, I don’t think I could recreate what Liza whipped up for me. It’s the kind of comfort food that hits your soul in the best way.

And the best part? Her menu is HUGE. There’s so much to choose from, and I already know this visit won’t be my last. If you’re ever cruising down HWY 80, take my advice and stop by that blue food truck. Liza’s food is worth every penny, and you won’t just leave with a full stomach—you’ll leave with a smile, too.

Here’s to finding gems like The Eatery By Liza, and here’s to going back for seconds (and thirds and fourths). Thank you, Liza, for the incredible meal and even better vibes.

Cecilia…you took the words right out of my mouth. My hubby and I tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and we have been back several times since! We have vowed to eat our way through her entire menu…except with all these chilly days, we are stuck on the soup and half a grilled cheese! Anyhow…this place is definitely the newest hidden gem of Wills Point!
