To be at work today is almost “vacation”… I said almost… in the world of EMS you simply don’t know what’s coming next. But considering how crazy this week has been it’s almost slower…
Yesterday I had my first networking meeting at 7:30 am. Eustace is a small town in Henderson County. This little place barely has any cell reception (that is not a joke). But what they do have is the most awesome cafe, The Roost Cafe! And that’s where me and Jennifer White with R4U Realty Group met!
While engulfing a chicken fried steak we sat and chatted about everything on this planet earth… some real estate yes, but a lot of other things as well! We had a great time!
Coming back to “civilization”, I was able to make it to my friend Ash’s ribbon cutting with The Terrell Chamber Of Commerce. Ash owns Sweetie Pies Terrell. I am so excited for her, she has the smallest kitchen where she makes her pies but they turn out so freaking delicious! Her business is truly blooming and it makes me so happy! Her ribbon cutting was so well attended!
Congratulations Ash!!!
Then last night it was time for the kick off for the 2024/2025 season of E! Terrell. We welcomed Kim McLean to the stage. Honestly I didn’t know much about her until I read her bio preparing my social media posts. But when the show started I knew almost all of the songs, just had no clue it was her writing them for different artists! This is what the bio said by the way!
“Accomplished songwriter Kim McLean has had over 400 songs recorded by music royalty, including Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, and Lee Ann Womack. In 2018, McLean established what became a cherished friendship with the late, great Loretta Lynn. In honor of that friendship, McLean is debuting a new show to share the stories, laughs, and memories of her time with the country music legend. This concert will feature McLean’s best-selling songs, Loretta Lynn hits, and songs co-written by McLean and Lynn.”
Unfortunately I had to leave in the intermission. My alarm goes off at 3:30am on work days and needless to say, the last couple of days has been crazy and I absolutely needed as much sleep as I could. But I had such a great time!
