Usually when I get home from a 24 hour shift on the ambulance I try to have a couple of downtime with my dogs. But some days that simply doesn’t work out. Today is one of those days.
I came home an hour late from work and had a Harlequin Tea order to fill for delivery on my way to Forney later in the day. While filling that order I had another one coming in that needed to be shipped. So I filled that order, headed to the post office and sent it off. When I got home my first notary appointment of the day showed up. Easy breazy got that taken care of. Had to swing by my horses before going to Terrell with the tea order and continue to Forney Area Networking Group. And when I came to the barn was when I realized what I’ve done…
I had left my house without makeup on, looking super duper tired (which was the truth), still in my EMS pants and wearing MY CROCKS!!!
Let me say this… there is nothing wrong with Crocks. I absolutely love my crocks. But these are my worn out crocks that are not meant to be shown in public! Well, there was no time for me to turn around now, I just had to rock n’ roll this fashion for the morning and try to straighten it out for the afternoon.
Thankfully most of the attendee at Forney Area Networking Group knows me so they won’t be super scared to see me without makeup and like this… but it wasn’t really my own preference if I say it fairly. And we all got a good laugh at me thankfully!
Debbie Morris had a great presentation about how to have a great presentation… my input was, make sure you are ready to leave the house when you leave the house. HA HA HA! Well we all had a great time with great networking and that is all that matters!
