There is no secret that I am fairly comfortable on stage and doing presentations. My grandmother was an opera singer and I grew up both on and behind the stage. This comes in hand when it is time to do presentations. I am not bothered about it at all. I want to make the audience engage and laugh at least once. If I can make that happen, I’m good.
Yesterday I had the privilege to have a presentation about the story behind Harlequin Tea at the Forney Area Networking Group meeting. Considering that a lot of people are still stuck in the storm aftermath or are on vacation, it was quite a big group actually! And I think they enjoyed my presentation and my goofiness. I at least got them to laugh a couple of times.

I believe people were as surprised to see me without a ball cap and the hair in a pony tail. But when I have a presentation, the ball cap needs to go. People in the back needs to be able to see you, not a figure with a ball cap at the other end of the room. Just my personal opinion…
There was some great networking afterwards. A lot of people stayed over 30 minutes after the meeting was done. That is always a good sign!
