Me, like many others has a storage unit. In my case it was an emergency solution many many years ago and things were basically tossed in there with no rhyme or reason. It is mostly stuff from my late mother and grandmother. But some things are mine as well.
Well, time has come to figure out what is actually in there. What am I paying almost $300/month for? Not knowing what is actually in there means that I have to go through box by box very thoroughly. I know there can be valuable stuff in there, if not measured in money, sentimental things that means something for me. The other day I found this in a box… it is an autographed and numbered picture of Glenn Close, which is one of my favorite actresses!!!
So when I found this I realized how important it is for me to do this job myself and be very thoroughly!
While doing all this work, there is a lot that is simply trash. I had built up a huge pile of just that. It took up almost 1/4 of the entire unit! And I had to have help to get it out of there. I only have a Ford Explorer without a trailer hook so I’m very limited in what I can do. But through FANG, Forney Area Networking Group I had met Kerry Guzman with Kerry ALL Junk Haul. So I called Kerry and asked if she was able to help me. So we met at the unit this morning to see what we could do… This is how it looked when we opened it up!
It doesn’t look like any organization is there but it is. Everything to the right is staying. I have already gone through that and it’s staying… Everything to the left is trash.
And this is how it looked like when we were done!
What an awesome feeling! Look how much space there is! I can start dragging more stuff out of there, go through more boxes and get this project even further. I am beyond excited!
Kerry’s trailer is so big that all that trash didn’t even take up half of it!
I am so grateful for businesses and people like Kerry! Could I have taken a lot of trips to the dump yard myself? Absolutely but was this the easier way out with less work for me, yes absolutely to that too! And I am all for supporting fellow small business owners so why not!
I think there will be at least one, maybe two more trips for Kerry to help me out with before I’m completely done. But if you need any help like this, I can absolutely recommend Kerry!
