One of the networking groups I attend weekly is Forney Area Networking Group. I attended the group many years ago, before I started EMT school and then left since I was busy on the ambulance. Last year when I had taken all my real estate exams and had my license in my hand and decided to go back and start networking again, FANG was the first group that came to mind to attend. It is such an awesome group of people! Very supportive and fun!
There is usually a speaker but yesterday was “balloon day”. It was the first time we did it and I just came up with the name btw. But everyone gets a balloon, then you put your business card in the balloon and blow it up. Then everyone plays volleyball for a minute or two and everyone picks a balloon of a different color than what you had previously.
It just came to I got the balloon of Levi Tanner with Tanners Garage Doors and he got mine! You then have to set up a one-on-one right away. We have ours scheduled in two weeks. The fun thing is that I have already referred a couple of people to Levi that needed some help with their garage doors…
Before I left for the meeting I decided to make me an almost obnoxious t-shirt for myself!
Hahaha! Maybe the color is more obnoxious than anything. Sadly though it was raining outside and a little chilly in the room so I had my hoodie over my t-shirt so nobody saw it… But I guess I will get plenty of opportunity to wear it some other time. I think it’s funny though! It will be available in the store soon as well!
